Collection consists of correspondence, speeches, reports, school themes, and other papers of Max Senior, businessman and philanthropist of Cincinnati, his wife, Emma (Kuhn) Senior, and his son, James Kuhn Senior, of Chicago. Includes correspondence, diary (1917-1920) and military papers relating to James K. Senior's military service in France during World War I; letters (1945) from him in Paris to his wife, Rose, and his daughter Mary; and correspondence relating to Max Senior's anti-Zionist views and activities.
Terms of Access and Use
The Senior Family Papers are open to all users. The original manuscript collection is available in the Barrows-Loebelson Reading Room of the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives.
Property and Literary Rights
James Kuhn Senior, by the act of donating the Senior Family Papers to the American Jewish Archives, assigned all property rights to the American Jewish Archives. Literary rights are retained by the Senior Family and their heirs. Literary rights may also be retained by specific creators of materials.
