Biographical Sketch

David B. Alpert was born in 1899. In 1929 he was ordained as a rabbi at the Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Alpert was a long time resident of Brookline, Massachusetts, serving as chaplain for many area hospitals. David B. Alpert died in 1982.

The David B. Alpert Papers are open to all users. The original manuscript collection is available in the Barrows-Loebelson Reading Room of the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives.

Alpert Papers to the American Jewish Archives, assigned all property rights to the American Jewish Archives. Literary rights are retained by David B. Alpert and his heirs.
