Institutional Sketch

The Message of Israel was a radio program produced by the Union of American Hebrew Congregations in association with the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, featuring sermons, music, and news of Jewish interest.


Scope and Content Note

Consists of tape recordings of Message of Israel radio broadcasts and preparatory recordings, 1960-1993; catalog of program titles, 1934-1993, with program transcripts, publicity materials, correspondence and miscellaneous items concerning the series, 1974-1993; together with letters to the program, with replies written by Max A. Shapiro and A. Stanley Dreyfus. Also included are transcripts of the program, 1936-1967.
